Ministries...

Ministry is a word that describes serving others, meeting real needs in a practical way. Sometimes it involves large crowds. At other times it is a face to face encounter with one or maybe a few people. Just as Jesus was always involved in ministry, so we must touch hurting lives around us in order to share the hope and joy in the Christian life.

Regardless of your age, background, or life interests, there is a ministry for you at Abundant Hope Baptist Church. It is our desire that these opportunities to serve and to be served, will help you grow as you seek to know Jesus Christ, and become more like Him.

"And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, [growing] into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness."

Children:

Saturday nights:

• Nursery – newborn to kindergarten
• Children’s Church – Children grades 1st through 4th grades

Wednesday nights:

• Home Bible Study 4 year olds through 4th grade
• Preteens Bible Study 5th and 6th grade

Youth:

Wednesday nights:

• Bible Studies, prayer, games, food and fellowship. Contact the Youth Director, John Wartian at 252-506-1397 for information.
• Many other scheduled monthly activities.

Adults:

• Home Bible Studies (Small Groups)
Adults meet on Wednesday nights in homes to study God’s word, have fellowship, pray and to encourage one another. Each home Bible Study works through a study guide which takes us through a particular book of the bible.

• Women’s Bible Studies
• Evangelism/Outreach
• Men’s Ministry
• Seed of Love (Goodwill, Food Pantry and Angel Food)
• Fellowship
• Praise Band
• Missions
• Various other ministries as well
